Fresh, fast food. They have several options for sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts. Free sourdough bread and chocolate covered strawberries with each entree. I ate lunch there with a friend at 12:30, so the tables were either occupied or dirty. An employee washed off a table for us with a filthy rag. Eew. The same employee came to the table several times to clear trays or dishes even while we were still eating--which I hate. But she brought me a takeout container for the rest of my sandwich then left us alone to finish our meals.

Cafe Zupas has moments of greatness but they fall short often enough to make it a somewhat frustrating experience to eat there. Because they do a high volume of business, they've really tried to make the ordering process efficient. Too efficient, in fact. It leaves me feeling like a "John" on the clock at an old western brothel (get what you paid for as fast as you can and get OUT!). They ask for your salad and sandwich order at the beginning of the line, then call it down to their cohorts to complete before you even reach them. You get approximately 3 seconds of the employees attention in which to complete the ordering process. This means you can't really ask for "extra this" or "no that" because your food is done by the time you reach the station where it's assembled and the order-taker has already moved on to the next person. The food itself can be good. The sandwiches seem to be the best thing on the menu, though they are a little small. We really like the crab, avocado, and bacon. It's delicious. The Cuban is also pretty good, though also a bit small. They have a pretty minimalist approach to the toppings on the salad (maybe two tablespoons of chicken, and no more than a teaspoon of cheese, bacon, and avocado on my most recent Cobb salad), but they use a heavy hand with the dressing, leaving the whole thing a bit limp and greasy. The soups are probably the least successful thing on the menu. Of the three or four I've tried, nothing blew my socks off. Too salty, too much broth, not enough "stuff" in it. I like the free chocolate covered strawberry--that's a nice touch. Their other desserts look good, but I haven't tried them. Overall, though I like Cafe Zupa's, I'm not overwhelmed by them. It's a trendy place having its moment, but I expect their little problems to affect their popularity in the coming years and I imagine the crowds will fall off dramatically.

What frustrates me is how you get gipped on take out. Since changing their containers regardless of the salad size you order its smaller than the small salad you get when you eat in the restaurant. The same is true of the soup. The last two times I've been I got home and found no protein on my salad and just broth in my soup cup. Their food is tasty but highly over priced.

Zupas was a favorite in my family that I would recommend on a regular basis. In the years since, the store numbers have grown and the quality has dropped abundantly.

This is a solid and consistent choice that I always suggest to friends visiting the area. The salads are always fresh and the sandwiches are delicious. I love the chicken pesto and crab avacado. The chocolate dipped strawberry at the end of every meal is a nice touch. The atmosphere here is very young and loud and this location is usually very crowded. The lines might be long but they move very quickly.

The thing I love most about Zupas is how consistent every location is - no matter where I go, the food will be fresh and delicious! This particular location is no exception - it's clean, trendy, fast, and really good. A lot of people say Zupas is chick food, which ... I kind of disagree with, but I'm a girl. :) I've had every item on the menu and haven't been disappointed except for the Piña Colada Chicken salad, which I found cloying. Today I ordered the Chicken Chop Salad (sans black olives) and the Roasted Red Pepper and Lobster soup. I loved my meal! Every lunch comes with a chocolate covered strawberry and a piece of bread.

Friendly staff and good quality of food for the price. I can't leave this place without getting my lobster bisque and creme brulee.

The owners are complete dicks. They have cost so many contractors money that no one wants to work for them again. but if you complained about their food it would be a whole different story. I've instructed my employees that if I ever see their trucks in front of a Zupas they are fired immediately

Great place for lunch. They are an average sandwich and salad place. The prices are okay but doesn't let your down. Their Wisconsin cauliflower soup is off the hook and make sure to add bacon to it.

It's taken a while to get use to Zupas. At first I thought it was just kind of a fad place that would have gone out of business in a year or two. I'm glad it proved me wrong. It's a great date night out place to go where you don't have to rely on a waiter or have a super long wait time to get in and get food. The food is fresh and tasty. The chocolate covered strawberry at the end just tops things off (as long as it's a good strawberry with more than a melted chocolate chip on it). Yep, we'll be back for another date night....on another note to the business...seriously, please fix the men's restroom placement. If you don't know what I'm talking about see my previous review, thx.

I was introduced to Zupas for a company lunch, I've since been back at least once a week. This new location is just minutes from my home in Daybreak. The staff at the new location has come up to speed and really deserves more praise. Foods is always fresh, friendly service and decent prices. I still think there needs to be a salad option for kids.

I love the turkey cranberry sandwich and mushroom or lobster bisque. I hate that they make you repeat your order 2-3 times, even if you're the only one in line. Get some colored stickers or something!

I'm not much of a soup person so I was kind of reluctant to go. I am very glad that I went though, it was delicious. I got the lobster bisque with a turkey bacon avacado sandwich. The bisque was so creamy and flavorful, I could not so eating even after I was full. They did not skimp on the lobster at all! Every bite had delicious chunks of lobster. The sandwich was above average. The meat and cheese was spread out evenly through out the sandwich, and the ingredients seemed fresh and high quality. They gave us a chocolate covered strawberry with each meal. That was a pleasant surprise. The only think I did not like was the set up. There is no way too look at the menu without being in people's way. After they would make a sandwich they would put it on this counter with all the other sandwiches waiting to go out, none of witch had a label. When we got to the register we had to name all the sandwiched we ordered and some employee had to try to find them amongst all the other sandwiches ready to go out. I always specialty order my sandwiches because I do not like sauce. So the employee picking out my sandwich had to hold up all the similar sandwiches to see which one didn't have mayo. It was ridiculous. The place was so crowded it was hard to get around, especially while holding a tray of food.

Great food! I always have a good experience at zupas. The only problem with this place is that it's too small. We were there on a Monday afternoon and it was totally packed. The tables are all really close together and it felt kind of crammed. And thy have signs on every table telling people not to save seats while their friends or family wait in line but there were still a bunch of people doing it anyway. The line went quick - the staff was really efficient and friendly.

When you can actually get ahold of them to cater, they're great. But... I have had 3 separate occasions where they don't answer their phone. It rings and rings and rings. So unprofessional.

Good, but extremely overpriced. I got a large Vermont maple blueberry salad, which came with 6 blueberries. I asked for more, because it was a large salad for 2 people, and they said it was an extra $0.59. The salad was $8 without any extras. I feel like if I would have made this same salad at home, it would have cost me under $2.00 easily. I will not go back.

Still 2 stars. We had a gift card and so the whole family went this time. I had the strawberry salad which was good, but not $8 good. It was mixed greens, strawberries, dried cranberries, and chicken. I can make that at home for much cheaper. The Panini was small. The cauliflower soup was good. It was fine, but overpriced and crowded. The best part was the flavorings for the drinks. We won't be returning.

Excellent soup, I also like the Thai salad and Thai sandwich. That said, dining in during lunch is chaotic. There just aren't enough seats, and once you have a seat, your so tight to everyone else it's just uncomfortable. I now avoid this place, and will only do take out.

It's one of those places I will go if I have to. Noodles was closed and I was starving so we went to zupas. We ordered a BBQ pulled pork, chicken chop salad, pesto panini, and tomato basil soup. The bread on the panini was really, really bad basic white bread. Flavorless and chewy. The pulled pork was mediocre, but the BBQ sauce was good. I have always liked their tomato basil soup and it still tastes great. The chop salad was fine. Just a basic chop. The pesto panini was pretty good. The overall restaurant was very clean, the employees were great, and we made it through the long line fairly quickly. Overall, I don't love it, but I'd go back for the soup. If they got better quality bread I would like it a lot more.
